The Issue with Sun Damage
Headlight Restoration
Over time, plastic lenses become cloudy, hazy, or yellow due to UV exposure and road debris. These oxidised headlights don't just look poor; they obscure the lens. Professional headlight restoration Swindon services improve your vehicle's appearance by removing this degradation. Unlike simple cleaning, our process involves technical sanding and refining to address the root cause of surface oxidation. We serve Marlborough, Calne, and Hungerford, providing a focused solution that is often more cost-effective than a full replacement, provided the damage is external and the plastic remains structurally sound.
Professional Stages
I
Surface Preparation
Meticulous preparation is vital. We mask off the surrounding paintwork to ensure only the lens is treated. We then remove surface contaminants before starting the abrasion.
II
Abrasive Refinement
We use a multi-stage sanding method to strip away the dead UV layer. This moves from coarse to fine grits, levelling the surface of the cloudy headlights until the plastic is smooth and clear.
III
Machine Polishing
The final stage involves high-speed headlight polishing and a protective sealant. This finishing step aims to restore a factory-like aesthetic for drivers in Cirencester and surrounding areas.
